We are experts in Non-Domestic Rating matters and are recognised by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as specialists in this field. We are also members of The Institution of Revenues Rating and Valuation.

We regularly take a role in central negotiations with the Valuation Officer and act as members to the Rating Surveyors Association.

We deal with all bulk property classes including retail, office and industrial. However, we also deal with specialist property classes including leisure, marinas, bowling alleys, night clubs, hotels and public house to name a few.

Generally our instruction is to mitigate an occupiers rate liability and the advice required will depend on the individual case.  Incorporating a review of your rating position when proposing works to a property can also produce savings.  In brief our advice tends to incorporate some of the following: -

· Submission and negotiation of rating appeals
· Valuations to rateable value
· Consideration of transitional relief and rate exemptions
· Rate liability and rate saving reports
· Presentation at Valuation Tribunal and Lands Tribunal
